and Cambridge Summer Music Festival. 2011 takes him to the USA for the first time.

In addition to his duties as Director of Music to the Parish of Esher, Tom is busy as an organ teacher, and works closely with the
St Giles International Organ School (for whom he is a tutor), Oundle for Organists, the Royal School of Church Music
and the Royal College of Organists.
Tom is particularly keen to introduce the organ to new audiences, and is involved with a number of exciting education projects and
initiatives nationwide.

Tom enjoys playing a wide range of music, from before Bach to a very long time after, and tries to present varied programmes.
He does, however, have a particular affection for music written after 1900, and is very active in persuading living composers to
write new repertoire. He has more-than-passing interests in steam locomotives, fellwalking and fine ale.
|
|
He was appointed Director of Music at Esher in August 2007 and quickly gained approval for three Organ Scholars.
In 2009-10, these are Kirsty Tyrrell (Richard Coulson Organ Scholar), Sophie Odenthal and Anthony Chater.
